in one direction it should be easy...it the opposite direction you shouldn't be able to blow at all...

might be the antisyphon valve...

that's easy to do...run it till it starts slowing...

that's easy to do...run it till it starts slowing down..then open the tank fill cap....if you hear a hiss...you know it's the vent...

try checking the coil at that point and see if...

try checking the coil at that point and see if the voltage is dropping causing this hesitation...also check after it's thoroughly warmed up to see if the carb is properly torqued onto the intake...
