according to my mech...yes..it's a good to do thing...the bellows won't be in a stressed position when not needed and will last alot longer if you put it down when not in trailer mode for travel....I...

as long as the bellows isn't leaking...and you keep the drive down when not out of the water..you should not have any issues yet....the bellows replacement depends on if it developes any cracks or...
