I didn't mention the thru hull types cuz I figured he wouldn't want to install it..they are more expensive than the others and require some hull treatments..such as sealing the wood in the...

there are 2 types of transducers...one that attaches to the stern or transom under/besides the drive...the other is mounted in the engine bay and shoots thru the hull....you glue a coffer dam to the...

you can do it...just get the shoot thru the hull puck....then it's simple....oh yeah..it needs to be on an aux. pwr switch is the only hitch..

Take a look at the lowrance h5d...they have a 3d transducer you can hook up too it..it's both..fishfinder and gps...I have one and it's awesome...just flat out incredible....
it even spots a boat...

for the life of me....I can't figure out why anyone would put something like the gps or the vhf down at your knee....when I drive...most of the time I stand...only cuz it's hard to see the bow when...
