Wow..you put a whole bottle of gear oil into the reserv..?????...you have a leak my friend....either a bad seal down below or someplace else......but gear oil is pretty stable.....

it could cause it to pressure to increase and the bottle to expand a hair.....might be the oil sender is corroded a bit too...clean that off...check the temp sensor connection...might be dirty there...

check the drive oil reservoir......if that's low..the alarm will sound....
