hmmm...according to the manual and parts catalog reads 2.0-1....wonder where the disconnect is....

I'll have to call my parts guy and ask him...

nope...according to the manual..on page 633....ie US marine part cross ref..your alpha 1 has a 2.0-1 ratio....your ratio your coming up with would cause a mess of problems....

go with the 2.0-1...
