if you remove the bottom half of the drive...it...

if you remove the bottom half of the drive...it will spill oil everywhere...

but if you take the whole drive off at the mounting gimblel..then nope..you probably won't spill a drop...

the wire you just make up with marine grade wire...

the wire you just make up with marine grade wire and end fittings...they are tin plated so they don't corrode....

as for the drive coming off...it's alot easier to remove if it's drained ...lotsa...
