It is my understanding that Bennett Marine designs these particular tabs with the fins to achieve the same amount of lift with less surface area on the tab. However these tabs are only recommended...

WOW!!! I doubt that this is the result of someone 'playing' with the tab buttons. I play with mine almost constantly while underway. This looks like a part(s) failure or some unknown external force...
