What I had done was similar to option 2 except that I epoxied a PVC ring to the hull and filled it with mineral oil. It worked great except that the epoxy failed and the ring is no longer sealed. ...

I have been fighting with my in-hull mounted transducer and am ready to give up and mount it on the outside. Does anyone have pics of where they placed the transducer on their hull? Pics of any...
