I have a 94 Maxum 1800sr, Would it be necessary...

I have a 94 Maxum 1800sr, Would it be necessary to install a 2nd battery to run say 6-8 Speakers on a small amp? And maybe sooner than later and 1 10" sub, Or would a Brand New battery due the trick....
