As well as the cons. The 2800 is under 29’ so the extra cost and maintenance of a triple axel should be part of the equation.

Please note the beam is over 9’ so this is considered wider than most...

Found my 1997 catalog and the 2800 with a single 7.4 dry weight was 6633 lbs, so with twin your weight does seem correct.

Good point shrew my 2400SCR is 5000lbs dry with a single 5.7, that extra engine/drive package is easily another 1000 lbs.
