A fuel pump is required wether it's a carburetor...

A fuel pump is required wether it's a carburetor of fuel injection. Fuel injection uses a higher pressure electric pump.

How many cylinders?

3.0 4 cylinder
4.3 6 cylinder
5.0 and 5.7 8...

Ask your mechanic what engine is in the boat and...

Ask your mechanic what engine is in the boat and if it's got a carburetor or fuel injection.

Welcome aboard

Sounds like the fuel tank vent is clogged, insects build nests in them. Next time it stalls losses the gas fill cap, if you hear air rushing in and it now starts that's the problem....
