Hi Don, no special procedure really other than carb should be adjusted first at idle then set the timing. Good luck.

A quick search does revel that the last revision of TBIV was a distributor mounted module but I cannot determine what year the TBV came out. But as I said the TBV has the knock module.

Donald I'm not sure if it is a steady 12V or pulsed but either way I would not use it as a source to power an hour meter or anything else. Depending of the impedance of the hour meter it may be close...
