For the most part I agree with you unless he is trimmed bow high. Also since the mechanic had done some work in the area I thought it would be wise if you checked this out as well.

Did the mechanic inspect the swivel shaft for leaks? It's the steering shaft on the transom assembly and are know to leak over time.
