I do not think the transom mount style will work...

I do not think the transom mount style will work with an outboard.

The tri-pod should be universal, read the write up to see or call the distributor.

No reason to be sorry we all had to learn...

For outboard boats they sell a tow ring that sticks up above the power head and mounts to the transom. Backer plates are required.
