To be honest I have not seen may folks post...

To be honest I have not seen may folks post subjects on outboards on this site you may want to try iboats or another generic forum. Also my understanding is parts are getting rare for Force motors...

Did you ask the shop where to find the serial number?

I would think it would be on the motor near its base under the cowl.

Did you find all the broken off vanes? They can travel throught the cooling passages and get stuck causing heating issues.

Sounds like the bouncing knocked an electrical ignition connection loose. How many cylinders does it have?

I am not up on outboards so I cannot think of something more spefic than that.
