Yes there are dry joint risers.

Up to you on using the old exhaust, hard for us to tell over the net. If any doubt replace as you have too much invested to chance damaging it.

If you want to replace them I would rent a balljoint/u-joint tool to press the old ones out and new ones in. May take a little time to fugure out with cups to use but should do the trick.

Yes no reason you cannot use the existing ignition. It is not wired to the carb nor calibrated to a 2 vs. 4 bbl. Roller cam, lifters, rockers have no impact, just less friction which won't steal...

Just saw a post from Spider-Man he has a similar rusted intake runner issue, however he had water in the oil.
Maybe the PO changed the oil as I would think your oil...

Sure looks like water went down the carb. The cylinders must have been filled as well.
