Remove the sense wire from the sending unit and...

Remove the sense wire from the sending unit and touch it to ground with the ignition key on. The gauge should go to full position, if it does the sending unit is bad else the gauge.

The gauges are made by Faria and they can repair them if you contact them. Otherwise search the WEB for a new one or try you local marine store
