Going with #2 because I can't do #3 as it doesn't fit with the outboard hoses. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the picture.

Seems like #1 is to far outside.
#2 is not flat enough and may interfere with the reading.
#3 seems like the best place but I fear it may be too close to the outdrive. ...
