neversummer, quite a few years ago, I had a boat with alota teak. If I remember correctly, I used a two step product called Wonder Teak. First step cleans the dirt and grey and the second treats...

Thanks Mad Max! You're right about the foam tape. On the letter that's damaged, the black foam tape is like a rock. I'll see what happens. If it's more than a 2 beer job I'll probably put it off...
