You can safely run the engine but you should change the oil when convenient to the recommended...

My 2007 2600 does the same. I have a direct wired load which includes the CO monitor, Stereo memory, and Mercathode system. These are always wired around the battery switch to keep them powered....

I purchased them both at Advanced Auto parts locally. They are readily available. Summit racing online has them for instance. Toggle is around $12 and starter around $9.

The change at the end of the season is to prevent that acidic oil from scarring your internals.

If it is a Norcold, there is likely a 10 amp fuse on the back. It powers the converter circuit. If it is blown, AC operation is fine, DC won't work.
