2006 1800MX Stern Port Cushion

Any 1800MX owners out there know how to remove the stern bottom cushion on the port side? Water is trapped in the cushion, and I'd like to replace it. Thanks.

I'm sure you already got your answer, but I looked at mine today and there are 4 screws that come up thru the fiberglass and into the seat. They're nearly impossible to get to because the fuel tank is in the way. I couldn't even get my hand to the ones furthest from the engine.

On mine I just trick some poor passenger into sitting on it until their butt feels damp. That gets it all out LOL. I've never looked under their either. If I ever remove mine I'll remount it a different way so I can get it out for cleaning easily!

I thought my seat bottoms were velcroed into place. Mine were soaked and squeshy, I pulled them up, unstapled the fabric from the wooden seat bottom and pulled out the foam. Once you get it all apart it can be dried out in a couple of days and the reassembled. The seat foam was in two pieces as I recall and it is tough to get it back in - takes two people - then sit on it to restaple. It mine were screwed in, I ripped the screws out of the wood by just pulling them up. Velcro it back in with double stick tape.
