Central Arkansas. Looks like I might be the only 'Southerner' here. We have an 1800 that we bought last year. Doing minor repairs this winter and waiting for the warmer weather. We had the boat at Greers Ferry Lake all last summer, but are looking forward to making it to DeGray and Ouachita lakes this year. Our three boys are chomping at the bit to try out the kneeboard and wakeboard this summer.

I am a transplanted Mainer, originally from upstate NY. Bought a 2000 1900SR at the end of last summer. I get to work on Submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard every day and look out at the river longing for warm weather to come and being able to take my essentially new boat out on the water. I hope to spend some time on Lake Winnepausakee, a bit of time on the ocean and at Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks. Great site guys, I look forward to visiting often.

Welcome to the zoo..I used to design submarines and surface combat ships....I had the honor of working on several 594's, 637's and the 21 class boats....I also did some work on 575 when she was a special ops boat..I now work at boeing commercial aircraft corp. ...a bit better pay than working on the subs.....
thanks for your work and service to the US...I know how important that work is...

keep posting here....we have a ton of guys that have your size boat..

Dang this thread is old.....I am from Chapel Hill, NC ...3 hours from the beach....3 hours from the mountains....and 15 minutes from our local lake.

Northern Ireland - Maxum 1800SR. 20minutes from River Bann - have to three point turn!, 20 minutes from Lough Neagh - freak waves and sandy bottom and rarely calm. 2hrs from Lough Erne - very picturesque, peat based bottom and well marked, 1.5hrs from the sea - why bother!

Guess I never replied to this thread when I joined the forum in August 2009 when I bought my boat. As indicated in my signature.......Southern California. Ventura County to be more specific. Was born in New York. At age 2 my folks moved to Chicago. At age 10 we moved to Mailbu. Have been in SoCal since then except for a 7 year period (1989-1996) when I moved to New Orleans for my business. We boat in local lakes and we splash it in the pacific every so often for a change. Have put 75 hours on the boat since last August. Launched every weekend since then except 2 (one due to weather, one due to business). REALLY enjoy being on the water!

From eastern Ontario Canada keep our boat in the Ottawa river and trailer a couple times a year to the St Lawrence river and / or Georgian Bay. For anyone who may not know Georgian Bay is part of lake Huron and home to 30,000 islands and awesome fresh water boating. Also enjoy as much spare time as possible on the water, too bad we have a long winter here, on the positive side we have been having a great spring 20 degrees c here today and I took the winter cover off the boat.

I am in a village by name of Jersey Marine, Wales, UK ............. about 2 mins from nearest Ocean .......... although 30 mins from where I normally launch, which is at Mumbles ... the Headland at the left of picture below.

51 deg 37'.42 N 003 deg 51'.36W will take you to my place in Google Earth .. although aerial imagery is at least 4 years out of date .... here is snap shot ... couldn't attach the .kmz file

We live in Delta, British Columbia. It's 20 minutes south of Vancouver.
We do most of our boating on the Fraser River but we head inland to Osoyoos Lake for a couple of weeks every summer. Osoyoos is a "pocket desert" region (Canada's only desert). Beautiful country....very hot in the summer!

We have a 2006 Maxum 1900 SR3 with a wakeboard tower, 5.0 litre MPI Mercruiser.

HI I AM FROM HOUSTON TEXAS , and i take my boat out to lake conroe . there is not to many clean lakes in houston . i have a 1999 maxum SR 5.0 thunder .It's my first boat, have a lot to learn! . by the way, where are the hand brakes ?

I live in Nashua, NH however the boat lives in New London, Ct. I have about a 2hr commute to the Marina. I live a bit inland and would still have a 1 hr commute if I boated in NewHampshire, instead of Ct. People ask me why I travel so far. The answer is simple. The boating is better in the Long Island sound/Block Island sound area.

Anyone boating in Eastern LI Sound/Block Island sound give me a shout out. Maybe we can get a 'Maxum Owners Club' rendevous going.
