Default welcome aboard

everything that I have read pertaining to hard to steer in either direction says i need new steering cables. How hard are they to change?

Welcome aboard

Would help to know what boat you have. The steering cable is stiff which makes it somewhat hard to snake from the helm back to the engine.

Moved from "Welcome Mat | New Member Introductions" to "General". Odd title.
Welcome aboard 'jnorton757'.

More than likely steering cables. I would start by tracing them to make sure the cable isn't pinched somewhere first.
