Finally got a new tabs 18" x 11". I'm planning to install them tomorrow. Do you think I should prime them and then paint with antifouling paint? They are stainless steel. Thanks in advance.

If you will be keeping the boat in the water then yes paint them. However if you are installing a zinc on them that area must be paint free.

Finally launched my boat last weekend after Trim Tab replacement (including locator) and many other improvements. I thought I owe some pictures and my impression. I took the boat out for descent spin. Weather was ok although a little bit windy with some choppy water. The boat ran great. New trim tabs made a huge different and locator is a helpful feature. I was able to stay on the plane with only 3000 rpm doing 16-17 knots which in this case I was able to handle choppy water comfortably. Before in order to stay on the plane I had to be pushing close to 3400 and with that speed I was hittng waves really hard. Also bow was staying low at acceleration. This boat should come from factory with this set up. Thank you!

Glad to hear you are in the water and that the boat is performing well.

Enjoy the season.

Congrats. I know TT's made an enormous difference with how my boat run in less that flat water, and I really like the position indicator that I installed when I installed the tabs.
