Default To drill or not to drill...?

Fellows:

I would really like to hang our v-berth cushions from the bat cave ceiling. I looked it over today. Seems to me that all it would take are some stainless eye bolts and a few bungee cords. However, I am very leery to start drilling/screwing into the ceiling. Any ideas on how to do this safely?

Thanks

Do you really need to put them in the ceiling? could you put them in the walls and stretch the bungees accross them?

I added a shelf to store some cloths during the summer...It's one of those wire type shelves you get from home despot......
in my 2700..which I think is quite similar to yours....the helm seat has a storage bin under the seats..which has a neopoly type of liner...
back down in the batcave ..the overhead is like a false ceiling ...which is similar to the fiberglass floor above...as long as you keep the screws fairly short....and use wide threads of the stainless screws for max grip..I think you can drill into the overhead with little fear........

SeaPuppy - can you post a pic of that shelf?

I have been trying to come up with a good way to store those cushions too, so let me know if anybody has one.
