Default Switch for windless under throttle control panel ??

I have a 2002 Maxum 2900 scr with a Lewmar Concept 1 windless that is not working, At the time the boat was surveyed it worked fine, today it is not working at all. There is a "On / Off" switch at the helm under the "throttle control panel", the switch is very difficult to turn from on to off. When the boat was surveyed the surveyor found this switch while lying on his back checking the electric dash wiring. He said he had never seen a electrical switch hidden is such an out of the way location. This is not the thermal breaker switch that is in the engine compartment. HELP !!!!

First welcome aboard!

So how long has it been since it was working till now? Just happened or been awhile since last used?

I'd start there using a volt meter should get 12V on both sides when the switch is in the closed position. Could be a breaker else where that is open so if you get no voltage on either terminal that I would suspect that.

If the switch is difficult to turn on/off then there is corrosion inside. If there is enough corrosion to effect the play, there is likely enough to impact conduction.
