Default Stern light on maxum

Hey guys... I lost my stern light today on the lake. . Had a Canadian flag on it and it was about to storm so we rushed back to the slip... My question is are those standard ? Can I just buy one at any store with marine stuff?

I know haha haha
This flag is made to snap on the stern light...
My fault. . I should of double checked... It probably got loose with the heavy winds...

I got an other stern light and did the same again... Hahahaa... But this time it was secure

The flag manufacturer may have made the flag to snap on a post. They might have even advertised that it will work on a light post. Almost assuredly the light post manufacturer DID NOT design the post to have a flag flown from it. I doubt both parties intended that flag to be flown while running at 30 - 40 MPH.

The same goes for VHF antennae. Just because you CAN clip a flag to it, doesn't mean you should. If you choose to, I would strongly suggest doing so only while sitting, not while running. I've lost track of the number of broken VHF antennae I've seen as a result of flying flags.
