Default Start of Season

Hey All, just got back from my marina, boat went back in the water today had my fingers crossed that all would go well. Spent the last month pulling both motors and replacing both couplers upgrading to the steel ones. During this I found that my starboard motor was already on its second coupler and found the odd lose grounds as well. also had to lower the engine mountig brackets as with the mounts set all the way down you still couldn't aligne the engine properly. My guess was it was never aligned properly from the factory. Anyway she runs great and all is well, Just waiting for my bimini to get back from the top shop and all will be Golden.
PS neigbors are happy that its out of my driveway, Happy boating to all

Going in this week. Weather in NYC looks good. After spending a week painting the drives and bottom, Zincs, replacing a hydraulic line, replacing a bilge pump, repairing some hull scratches and lots of polishing, it'll be good to get in!

It's great to hear folks are finally starting the season, it's been to long coming this time. I took a short trip on friday (posted a few pics in the gallery). Painter when you say that you replaced the coupler wit a steel one what do you mean? Does it still have the rubber hub between the inner piece with the splines an th outter hub?

Everyone have a great season and let's get out there!

Just got mine home last weekend for its Spring clean up, some maintenance, and systems check. Hope to have it ready for the water by the end of the month.

The couplers are basicaly the same with the rubber hub, but instead of aluminum splines they are stainless also having a long snout which an o-ring on the yoke holds grease inside the splines better. It is an option and classified as HP or workduty they use the same ones on the larger engines. Makes it a lttle tougher to install because of the snout.

POLICEDEZ, you should start a new thread with this question. Not sure I understand your question, are th lables missing or do you not know what they mean? Should be RPM (engine revolutions per minute), Speed (miles per hour), Oil pressure (pounds), Water temperature (degrees F), Volts (volts), and Trim (angle of outdrive)
