Default Spider Cracks or Stress Cracks in my 2007???

I am new to the forum and have a question. I have a 2007 Maxum 2200 SR3 wiht 50hrs on it. I purchased it new and it sits on a 6000lb Shorestation lift. I take very good care of it and noticed during waxing that I have developed 1 spider crack on the port side above the water line and a handful of (what look to be) stress cracks that run the port side underneath the boat along the boat that are very fine crack lines and not deep. Should I be concerned about these or are these purely cosmetic? None of them are deep but I want to make sure it isn't something more than that. I had a 1800SR3 previously and never had any cracks on it. Maybe I was lucky?? Thanks in advance for your input. :|

welcome to the zoo...nice boat you have there...however ...fiberglass flexes alot and sometimes stress cracks will develope in the gel coat...it's easy to sand them out..and re gelcoat the area...sand smooth and then wet sand finally a good polish...doesn't take all that much labor....a good pro can have them all repaired in no time...however..since you have a new boat..take it back to the dealer and let them deal with it....

Thanks for the response. I am thinking the same thing as far as taking back to the "stealer" and letting them look at it.

for stress cracks...that is only in the gel coat or outer coating...these can easily be fixed.....the ones on the decking can be fixed easily also.....there is supposed to be a 6 yr warranty (I think ) on gelcoat repairs....

check with your dealer and they can tell you all about it and schedule some repairs..
