Bella, very nice and clean install......we have talked about something like this but we generally just bbq and would only use this once in a while..In the last pic, what is that over your aft berth. Looks like a storage cabinet?? Also did you install the mirror on the head door?

Thanks Brianm, Havamax, This was a pretty tuff project.

I was like you Havamax, I did a lot of BBQing and still do but it really is more practical than you would think. Cooking a large frozen or fresh pizza for example or frozen tollhouse cookies on the beach now who wouldnt like the convienence of that?. I made a lot of friends on the beach passing out gooey tollhouse cookies too. The oven also broils great too for toast or garlic bread the list goes on and on. I still can't imagine why these are not offered as an option at least from the factory. Not even available on the larger boats either. The install is quite involved, especially having to psych yourself up into cutting the silestone counter top with a skill saw. I must have prayed right before, because it came out perfect the first time and didnt chip one bit. The dust is another issue. I had to partition off the entire cabin to keep the huge amount of dust from going everywhere an I mean every nook and cranny. Took me about 3 days to finish. Well worth the effort though.

I also installed a built in Contoure brand coffee maker with a thermal caraffe above the aft cabin. There is quite abit of unused space in just about every boat. I guess that you have to use your imagination and start poking around behind stufff to see what will fit. Yes, I went to wally world and got one of those stand up wall mirrors and put it on the head door.

Did you ever get your microwave replaced?

Did you get the wash down system finished? That is a great idea using the existing water pickup and not having to horror of horrors DRILL A HOLE thu your hull, YIKES! Can the hose reach the foredeck with enough presssure with that head height?

Take care-

Bella

Bella, I have not even started the washdown pump install yet. I have been sidetracked changing all lights to led's. I am really happy with the lights, I purchased everything from superbrightleds.com Still looking for a small micro, and have everything for the washdown pump install purchased. We have had quite a few rain days here, but supposed to be 74 degrees by sunday!!! Just got home from the boat at the slip and plan to stay the entire weekend on the boat in the marina......We are having our annual pyortechnics show here Havasu this weekend. Will try to get ya some pics to get ya in the boating mood....

Well here is my 2400SE on Lake Coeur d'Alene last September. Poised to get her out of the driveway if the rain ever stops (6/4/10)! I imagine all my compatriots in the Pacific Northwest are struggling with the same issue.
