Default Rudder!

Just bought a 1996 Maxum 210 SS and while boating, my wife got to close to the shore and managed to take the rudder off, completely, bye, bye. Problem I'm having is no one seems to know anything about the rudder that was on the boat. It is a two piece affair, all I have left is the shaft which the rudder was mounted to. Anyone have any thoughts where I might find someone who could help with a replacement? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome aboard.

Not familiar with the 210 SS, how is it powered Mercruiser with an I/O?

Are referring to the skeg on the bottom of the drive? If so a new one can be welded on or if any of it remaining a skeg guard can be installed.

The Maxum 210 SS was a true 'ski boat', and came with an inboard. Did you retrieve the rudder? I don't believe rudders are boat brand specific. You might start with Mercruiser rather than Maxum. Do you know the relative rudder-shaft size? You should be able to replace with any rudder as long as it is as tall as the prop and the right rudder shaft size.

Most prop shops can make rudders.
