Default ouyboard engine bracket

I would like to carry an outboard as a backup engine but how would i fit a bracket on the swim platform to hold it,i would probably carry it on the back of the boat above the swim platform until i need it ,any ideas ive got a 2800scr thanks

most people purchase one of several types of outboard brackets to mount on the swim platform....you drill holes thru the fiberglass and use backing plates to spread the load...most will use something like flat bar or really large washers..with that kind of load I would use flatbar on the underside of the swim platform for the reinforcement....then seal it up with 5200 silicone sealant.....
