Default Hour Meter

It does seem strange they wouldn't put hour meters in these boats...I've got a 2700SCR and I love her to death. But it stunned me to find no meter for her twin Mercs!!! Yes, in the end you have to rely on the marine surveyor's compression tests and basic things like the condition of the oil (if it hasn't been taken out!).

Good luck

Hi seapuppy,

I'm in the midst of buying a 2003 Maxum 2100 SD and the owner says (of 4 yrs) says he's put on maybe 50-60 hours but, has no idea how many hours the engine has on it...
Hence, my search to see if the missing hours gauge was unusual or if he didn't know his boat. By the way, I have yet to actually see it in person... soon!

Just wanted to give you a shout out .... loved your humor!
