Default Maxum 1997 2800 SCR Manuals?

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 1997 2800 SCR and I was wondering if anyone had the generic 1997 owners manual and the 1997 2800 SCR model specific manual?

Thanks,

George

Welcome Aboard

Under Documents/Maxum boats/by year/2000 is a manual that covers the 2800.

Little help IMO and what you want are the Mercruiser manuals which are also under the Documents section.

Thanks Mike! I found that one last night, I presume there are not many changes from '97 to 2000?

I thought there was also a model specific supplement - does anyone have that?

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I can't download it yet as it needs to be approved?

@Shrew, is that something you can do?

Thanks again!

Hello again Mike,

I have the Mercruiser MIE 5.7L BWI with a 350 CID displacement. I was looking through the engine operators manuals but didn't see the one I need.

I believe you need a minimum number of posts before upload/download is opened.

I can download other files... just not that one. I believe the file needs to approved by a moderator?

Hi Shrew,

It's still saying "This file is in the moderation queue" on the actual page that has the download button.

When I click the button it says I do not have permission to access that page.

Thanks,

George

BWI? Do you mean MPI?

#24 is what you want

Hi Mike,

Thank you. I'm just going by what was on top of the engine. See the attached picture.

The front of the engine cowl where it has the engine size would be more helpful.

But this tells me it’s not fuel injected but a carburetor. Probably a 454, 7.4L engine.

Yes, you are right Mike. So does #24 still apply to me? I'll get an updated picture tonight ideally.
