That is a 5.7 liter engine what is 350 not 454. Check the first picture it's say clear 5.7 liter....
And yes #24 is apply to your model.

I was assuming it was a 5.7l 350 displacement until Mike suggested it was a larger engine so I am confused to be honest.

So #24 applies as per the original suggestion?

Looking at the exhaust manifold I still believe its a 454. can you post a picture of the valve cover?

Also being a 2800 I think they only offered 454 or twin 4.3.

Yes #24 is the one you need for your engine.

I respectively disagree. Look at the far valve cover it has parameter bolts not center bolts. Additionally the exhaust manifold bolt at not exposed as the big block are under neither while the small block would be exposed as they come all the way through the manifold.

You right. But then must have wrong filter cover on it. Here I have my 454.

Hi Mike, I sure can - the next time I get over to the marina. It's a 35 minute drive each way and our evenings are getting darker earlier so it will probably be Saturday.

My understanding is the 1997 2800 SCR also had a 454 - but the plate suggested otherwise. It is only a piece of plastic so there's that too.

That is a clean and dry engine compartment. Very nice.

Hi all, I got over to the marina but my phone ran out of juice before I was able to get the shots. I'm 99% sure it's the 454 based on what the model had from that year plus comparing it to other photos, specifically Gugi's.

Unfortunately identifying marks and the like have long worn off.

So I'll use the #23 for the 454. Thank you everyone for your help!
