Inside puck lights

2002 maxum 2700 SCR - I was thinking of removing 1 of the aft cabin puck lights and hard wiring a small fan. I don't really need 2 lights in the cave. My question is, how do you get the darn things off? If I can figure this out, I can replace the rest of the bulbs with LED's.

I think they twist counter clockwise and then pull away from a flange that is screwed to the ceiling.
