Default Honda or Yamaha Genny?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2000 watt portable generator and was wondering which is better?

Sounds like the Yamaha is a little bit better with all controls on 1 side, but I never read any posts about them.

Does anyone have the yammie?

This is a question like which is better....Ford or Chevy....Cubs or Cards......left or right....I hope you have the idea.......IMHO I thinks whatever one you buy you have bought I good genny. They say Honda because it is so quiet... they say Yamaha because it has alittle more power. Find a dealer that you can get service first of all and go from there.......

Go luck andlet us know how you come out with your choice...

All I can add is HONDA, they seem to be everywhere, they are by far the most popular in Aus, people have them on the boat, in the outback for camping, for work the lot, I would buy Honda if I didnt have the Westerbeke installed , Just my 2c
