Hate to see the season end myself......but I will start my process today. Hopefully it will warm up this afternoon to winterize the water system, the A/C and get the head pumped out so it comes out of the water this coming thursday.

Phil, just pulled mine last week for full detail and fuel. Found an exhaust bellow torn upon out drive inspection. So....small delay with the drive services and replace the exhaust bellows. Then right back in hopefully Monday afternoon.....the weather is just perfect right now......

Am calling the marina today to start the process; oil and filter change then winterization. After those are completed I'll go down, remove the batteries, strew some water absorbing buckets around the cabin, secure the cover with ropes, then go home and pout.

boo.

was a frigid 76 degrees, sunny, and no wind... as I fill the tank with $400 worth of go go juice.

Buoy and wake signs are gone, so it was on plane all the way.

Water ways empty.... who said it was time to get out of the pool?

Interesting Pas I am 2 states south and it's barley hitting 60 and the winds are up. Since I only have the weekends to boat the chances are slim to have decent weather so I'm done. Plus I don't care to be out there winterizing the boat when it 50 degrees and blown 20 +.

First weekend which I had nothing to do with a boat....including mine. Got it all winterized last week and shrink wrapped over the weekend. We had 10 to 15 miles an hour winds when we did wrapped the boat last saturday. Wow and double wow. My crew got it done...went through 2 tanks of gas.

And I used the earth friendly pink stuff for the engines.Even old dogs can learn new tricks.

Come on spring!!

who among you gets their prop polished?

my B3 is pretty clean, and last season i just used a wire wheel and a drill to clean it a little.

Hmmmmm, lets see, cold front came into today, high will only get to 79 degrees with 5kt from the north. We boat year round, I put up the windshield screen and forward side curtains yesterday. I put up the full enclosure once last winter but had it down by noon. If it does drop below freezing I'll lower the lift and submerge the lower unit and put a 100 watt light bulb in the engine bay.

SR........... your sense of humor well is typical............flaunt us with your year around boating weather! Have fun don't freeze!

Pas...when I had my SS prop on my other boat...yes I use to get it banged out and polished after every season, now that I have two aluminum bravo 2 props like Mike, I clean and paint them over the winter myself to get them ready for the next season.

Pas not to hard if you have the right wrench/s. Rear prop has the same nut as B2's which is around 1 7/8", forward prop has a nut around 2 1/2". Other than that just need a block of wood to jam between the prop and cavitation plate to keep it from turning.

I found a custom wrench on line a few years ago for my B2 that also has the forward B3 socket on the other end. It's basically a rod with sockets on each end. Search for B3 wrenchs and you should find it.
