Default First Run Information

Hello guys,
l am planning on taking my 2001, 2500 SCR out for the first time mid August, before l read the manuals can anyone let me know, how long I should l be looking at running the hot water heater until it is at the maximum temperature, do l turn it on say an hour beofre it is going to be used or is there a regulator that automatically turns it of?

I am initially planning on laying at anchor for a night to make sure everything is working, how long can l run the lights and maybe the radio or CD player and fridge freezer for before l need to think about battery power? Do l need to start the engine every couple of hourse while these things are running? Is there a warning? Can l use a booster pack if the battery is flat? I will get a generator soon but what sort of time am l looking at just now for running on battery power, how long do you need to run the engine to recharge the battery (or batteries?).

Any information will be appreciated

As said l will read up on all of this but l am currently working offshore for the next two weeks so l am looking for the information just now.

Thanks very much,

Gary

well...there are really alot of variables to answer this one...what size load the fridge is going to pull...what size batt....as for the water heater..if you have your engine coolant plumbed to the hot water heater..then it won't take long at all..maybe 15 min.....electrically it takes maybe half hr....

the larger the house batt...obviously the longer you can use it...but use them wisely....so...hard to say...
