Default Extended swim platform

We were thinking about putting our 98 Maxum 2800 SCR up for sale after 6 years , but decided to keep it since we know the boat and doesn't cost us anything besides maintenance.Doing some upgrades and have read reviews about swim platforms.com and swim platform superstore could anybody that has one from either give their review? Also ordered new seat skins from canvas plus and new lower drives fro SEI. Thanks almost boating season,6 weeks to get ready.

He must have Alpha drives as SEI doesn’t make a replacement for any Bravo drives

If you read other boating forums a lot of folks have had issues with SEI driver failing in a few years but are covered by the warranty. Even those that last have pealing paint.

I have alpha drives ,I replaced both lowers for less than the price of 1 merc. lower. They have the 3 year no fault warranty . So I decided to give them a try, the couple reviews on line that were negative were from 09 so I'll see if they made corrections since then. I boat on the Hudson in fresh water, so the salt won't be eating them up. I do a lot of trips,so I'll be posting updates on the lowers.

Interesting .. I did not know that the 2800 scr also came with Alpha Drives . I have the same boat 2000 2800 scr and I have twin Bravo 2.. That was the reason I asked about the type of outdrives... Thank you for the information

Jose.

I think it depends on the engine package. I've seen 4.3's with Alpha's.

We added an extended to our 1999 Maxum 3200 and it was the best money spent on that boat....this was done in 2010 and we are still enjoying it. Swimplatform.com was the company we used, the asked for the vin number of the boat, and sent it to our marina ready to be installed. The Marina installed it and we still use it.
