Default Escort Trailer wheels

Hi Folks,
Newbie here from Vermont where we can boat about 4 months if we're lucky.

Got a question on trailer wheels. I have a '90 Escort trailer with my '90 Maxum 2100. I need to buy a spare wheel/tire for it. Do all five bolt wheels use the 4 1/2" bolt pattern? Can't measure my wheels as the rig is stored away for the winter. I know it's a 14" wheel with a bias ply ST215-75-14 tires.

Thanks

Hi vtlandlubber......first welcome to our website!

As to your question........As a trailer boater for many years all I can suggest is the obvious and get what you already have. I do not know the bolt pattern. I know that overton's has a nice selection of tires and wheels that might work for you.

Stay warm....

Roger

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the welcome.

If I knew what I had, there wouldn't be any need to post the question. As I don't have a manual for the trailer, I wanted to know if ALL five bolt 14" wheels use a 4 1/2" bolt pattern. I can order a wheel and tire set if I know what the bolt spacing is.

Is there a dealer that you can pick his brain for the info?

Take it to a tire shop. They will hook you up.

5 x 4-1/2 is the most common of the 5 bolt hubs. There are others though but not nearly as common. My 96 dual axle Escort for my 2100SR is 5 x 4-1/2 with Chrome spoke rims.
Check out E-Trailer, great resource even if you don't buy from them.
