I got them on after adding the wheel spacers and longer wheel studs. I made the skirts out of 15/32 (1/2") p.t. plywood and covered them with standard bunk carpet. The fenders seem to work at this point, but I did drill new holes and actually lowered the fender down some so there is not as much space between the tire and top of the fender. To clarify, the fenders came with predrilled holes for whatever application they were originaly intended for, so I drilled some that made them sit closer to the tire than what they came with. I also replaced all the bunk boards and bunk hardware with longer bunk supports. I used 12" supports which raised the boat up some to give added room for the fenders. I maxed the 12" front supports out and made the rear supports slightly lower to keep a slight rake in the bunks. After loading the boat back on the trailer, It appears I can lower the bunk supports about an inch or two all the way around and still have plenty of room in between the tire, fender, and boat. In the end, to put fenders on the trailer was kind of pricey, but they look good and will protect the new paint so I'm glad I did it. I just wanted to update so those of you who need fenders to replace the old escort ones would know, that these will work with a little tweaking. I used the wheel spacers and new longer bunk hardware (it needed replacing anyway), but I think these would work without doing any of that if you position them correctly and drill new mounting holes that lower the fender slightly. The boat would probably be right next to the skirt if not touching on each side, but the fender would be off the tire. It should not be an issue if the skirt is properly covered with carpet. Just my .02 Hope that helps anyone needing some replacements.

What exactly are you needing? I can take some when I get it back from the shop. It is in getting the bellows and gimble bearing replaced right now. I should have it back by the end of the week. I didn't take any pics of the spacers before I put them on, but would be happy to take some of how it sits with everything done so you can see the clearence between everything. I have yet to lower the bunks back down yet, and I may not. It is setting a little high, but rides fine.

I'm curious how the boat sits on the trailer and how much space you have between the fenders and boat.

wow! Nice pics in the photobucket. You really aired out the bunks. l really have to do something like that to avoid the rubbing issue I have with my trailer fenders

Yea they are up in the air a bit. I think I may drop them just an inch or so this weekend when I test the boat after its recent gimble bearing and bellows replacement. It is somewhat hard to tell but there is enough room to lower it some and still not touch the fenders. By the way, I can put my fingers inbetween the tire and inner side of the fender skirt so there is plenty of room there too.

After over a year of searching, I finally settled on a set of plastic fulton fenders. Here are some before and after pics of the additional clearance. They fit great and I look forward to eliminating the worry of hitting the fenders when loading by boat.
