Default broke my VHF antenna and anchor light.

well...yesterday I learned a real important lesson....I usually fly an american flag on my VHF antenna....on my anchor light I fly a pirate flag for the fun of it...
yesterday coming home from 9 great days on the boat in BC...we got hit by an ugly storm....SCA's all over the place....we had ugly water and huge gusts....
well...one gust we guestimated at about 60 mph....it was so fast and quick that it snapped my anchor light off....my vhf antenna was snapped at the base!!....
so...here's the lesson...take the flags off the mast's.....use a flag pole or something else...
