Default Boat wants to stall when hot and as I'm backing off the throttle to neutral

Hey guys been a while since I came here....

This is my problem now

Once in on the lake and the engine is hot just cruising, then I throttle back to neutral and it's just about to stall...but doesn't and buzzer beeps for a second then I'm good...

Any ideas?

Ok need some better understanding.

Hot: normal operating temp or overheating.

Neutral you mean out of gear, correct? You have an Alpha which uses a shift interrupt switch which temporary shorts the ignition to remove load on the dog clutch to reduce wear. These can cause the engine to stall if not in proper working order. Common issue is lower shift cable has to much drag and needs replacement.

Hi how are you guys...
not sure if you guys remember me with my prop issues and couldn’t get more then 4000rpms,,,
But it all resolved,,,
I got the engine taken out,,,, real main done ,oil pan and front crank I think was leaking,,,
And every other thing changed new while the engine was out,,, carburator was glues with silicone,,,, there was another big issue
So now all new 5500 $ later works great!
And I got a 17 pitch 15.... I get 4400 at 40 mph.... finally !!!!!
Starts like a champ....
