Default Boat drain plug thread + size

Please help, this weekend lost drain plug from under the leg could any body tell me the size of the plug as its a american boat (maxum 1800sr) i presume its not BSP

I think it is a 3/8 or 1/2 in pipe plug tapered thread I could be wrong ???wait for some more results from others

Hi I am in the same boat I need a plug for my boat I have tried a BSP by hand and is bines on the thread. I have a set of thread gauges and will check tomorrow, I believe the pitch is a US type not BSP

the plug should be 1/2" NPT (U.S. standard).

All boats have a drain plug that can be removed to allow any water that may have gotten into the bilge to drain out. It will be located low on the stern.

Some take a threaded plug while others take a stopped style. What year model do you have?

Yes you need to put the drain plug in before putting boat in the water
