Default Blowing fuse on running lights

I have a 1999 Maxum 2800 SCR and when I turn on the switch to the running lights, the fuse instantly blows out. They worked fine until I did some work on the boat, and one of the things I did was open the dash, to run a transducer cable and figure I must have unplugged something or pulled on a wrong wire. If I only turn on the back mooring light, the fuse does not burn out, but as soon as I turn on the front lights it instantly blows. I notice on the switch there are 2 plugs that have nothing on them and I also noticed I have a red and black wire under the dash that are not plugged into anything? How do I begin looking for the problem? Attached is a photo of the inside of the switch showing two empty wire ports.

Any help is appreciated.

I am assuming you must have installed a ground wire on the terminal for the nav light. Disconnect all black wires but note there current location. Then install one at a time until the fuse blows. This will tell you what is wrong.

Get the wiring diagram from the manual located on the Document tab.

What was the fuse amp rating? Is it the correct rating ?

What other work was done?
