Bad day - Maxum Boat Owners Club

This just sucks but, I got to the boat bright and early Saturday morning. The weather here in Atlanta was beautiful. Started off in the upper 50's to low 60's and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Walked down the dock, unlocked the gate made my way to D dock. Walk up to the boat and both the back and cabin door were wide open. Don't know why but for some reason I didn’t have my CCW with me but I made plenty of noise and fortunately (for them), no one was aboard when I got there. After I cleared the boat, I started looking around and It looks to me like a few kids took a screwdriver to the cabin lock and bust that off, went inside, stole a few CD's and turned the place over pretty well. Fortunately, I think that the cabin door was the extent of the actual damage. That said, I opened the fridge door looking for a 16oz cold one and the b@#$!#@ds stole all my damn beer! That's just not right...

boy!!..that does suck...does your marina have video surveylance???(sp)...I'd be looking at video if it were me....

hope you find out who did it and kick some buttocks!!!....sorry to read this..

No video SP. I did ask since the cost is minimal these days and they have wifi at every dock but they pushed back telling me that privacy was an issue and they may consider putting something facing out from the gate but not anything that would point down the dock. I guess it would help people entering from dockside but if they were in a boat, they'd be free and clear.

well..that just sucks.....we have several cameras thruout the marina ..none unfortunately looks directly at my boat...but they do have roving security.....that is if barney can find his one and only bullet....

That does suck!! We have had a rash of thefts around our marina lately, too. The operating company is too broke to spend money on any security.
