if you have built in heat/air system...the AC panel is already pre-wired for the unit...all you need to do is drill a few holes and install the Reverse cycle unit....but....the other switch we're talking about is used while underway...ie..engine heat is used to heat that heatercraft unit and the pull out hose I showed you...

So I assume I do not have built in air/heat. What is a reverse cycle unit and how many arms and legs does that cost??? Are you telling me that I can have heat without running the engine?? The pull out vent hose....... sooooooo cool!

Checked with A - it's a no-go for the first weekend in October. Bummer.

Rich - I believe many of these Maxums have an optional heating and cooling system (like Steve's) that would be operated from the main panel and an internal thermostat when connected to shore power. I'm pretty sure I have the same label on my main, but alas, no heat pump hooked up to it.

The Maxum site quotes around $3500, and I bet that's not installed.

Thanks Jim. Hey, do you have a separate switch in your head for the shower sump? Or does the switch that operates the light in there double as power for the sump?

yeah, our lights are switched on the side of the puck-shaped fixture in the head, and there's a single red illuminated rocker right of the head that operates the floor sump.

I saw your heater selector switch up at the helm when we were at Port Ludlow. I think that's a better location than ours actually, which is down around the fridge near the bat cave entrance.

If that doesn't work for you (and others interested in going)... how about the weekend of the 18th? September looks to be the end of boating for us, at least as of this afternoon. The wife's workload increases in a crazy way starting October, so unless I start piloting solo, the boat goes back in dry storage. Baah. What a short season!

Between carpets, aftermarket swim steps and now this... getting to know you is becoming an expensive venture, bud!

I think I need a second job.

nope..18th won't work cuz we're just getting back from the cruise to alaska and will need that weekend to mow, clean..rest..wish we were back on the cruise line's boat...etc....
but the 25th is easy..we just won't show up till about 7pm....

"Between carpets, aftermarket swim steps and now this... getting to know you is becoming an expensive venture, bud! "
well...I am easy...just not cheap!!...

Just so you know SP - I just finished the yard before dinner after leaving the plant at 5 - mow/trim/edge/blow.

If the weather holds, we're out on the water this weekend.

(yes, our yard is tiny!)

I'm looking out the window here in Monroe and it's currently pouring. I just hope this isn't a sign of a soggy September around here. But, then again, it could be gorgeous by days end.

We'll let you know -

I just came back from a quick trip to Canada and it has rained since this morning. Lets empty the big tank up there and make room for a sunny weekend, shall we?
