Default Air Conditioning BTU's on 2001 2500 SCR

Could anyone tell me how I can determine the actual BTU rating of the factory A/C-Heat unit on my 2001 Maxum 2500 SCR? It runs both A/C and heat and works great when plugged into shore power. (The manual does not specify)

I am wanting to purchase a portable generator to run the A/C when I am in a cove and without shore power. I've looked into the Honda eu2000i but I'm not sure if it is powerful enough to run the A/C unit on the boat by itself (obviously nothing else would be running off of it at the same time).

According to the NADA guides it can be anywhere from 12,500 btu to 16,000 btu.

Last question....does anyone have any experience with this adapter (link below)? The generator only has a 15amp plug on it but with this adapter I can plug the 30amp shore power line into it. Will this cause any trouble being that it would be increasing the line from a 15amp to a 30amp?

Thanks all!
