Default Air Conditioning

OK, here it goes, I got my winless fixed and it was a beautiful day outside, So..... I thought I would turn on some air. 80 degress in the cabin. I turned on the AC and got some air flowing, went out side no waer flow. My question is....... When the AC is turned on but the cabing is cooler then the temp.. Will water pump always? The colis got hot as all can be just no water flowing.
Thanks

Welcome to the zoo..I'm assuming your tied up and running it on shore pwr.....if so..then in the engine Bay there is a pump usually runs on 120vac....then if there is no water flowing out..stick a hose into the side of the hull where the outlet is to prime the pump.....then start the ac....sometimes it looses prime......especially if you dry store or pull the boat on a trailer....
if it still isn't working then have the pump serviced...it probably has lost it's impeller.....they run about 350 bucks I think........

hope this helps...

I got a new pump a couple of years ago for around $150 dollars. Just do a Goggle search for "Boat Air Conditioning Pumps". Your problem might also be low coolant. That will also cause the coils to get very hot and the systyem will stop calling for water to be pumped through the unit. Out here in VA it costs about $100 to get the AC serviced.
